Textile Screen Printing

I love screen printing!

I have been doing it for over thirty years and I still get a thrill when printing a new design.

My two day courses at PrintBlock Callan, County Kilkenny, introduces you to the magical world of screen printing on fabric.

Screen printing gives an immediate and tangible result and is fun and rewarding. It is easy to get addicted too. Come and try!

Screen print 2. Light sensitive stencil making & printing on fabric. Dates to be confirmed.

This is a course for those that have some previous experience in screen printing. We will be working in a studio with full screen printing equipment, including an exposure unit to make semi-permanent photographic stencils. This type of stencil allows greater detail than paper stencils and enables hand drawings, textures, photographic images, and text to be printed. Participants will need to prepare some imagery in advance of the course; instructions on what to prepare will be provided beforehand. This course is loosely structured and requires participants to have a project in mind. Liz will help to fulfil each participant’s aspirations. 6 spaces available.

Please note that you need to bring your own screen/s if you are planning to bring the screen home to continue printing your exposed image – we can recommend where to get hold of screens.

I found Liz explanations of the methods very clear and methodical. She is most encouraging.
