This is the ultimate way to relax, get Scandinavian inspiration and meet like minded people.
Join me for a week of yoga, walks, creative explorations and cultural influence in my special paradise, the seaside village of Beddingestrand on the south coast of Sweden. I invite you to share my summer house by the sea.
Imagine seven days filled with stillness, inspiration and nature. You will wake up everyday to birdsong and go to sleep to the sound of the sea. We start each day with yoga and meditation outside in a meadow by the beach followed by a wholesome breakfast.
Creative workshops are held daily where we investigate different types of mark making often using the breath as inspiration. We try block printing on both paper and fabric and you will bring home your own designed and printed piece. We’ll also explore museums and design studios in the area and visit nearby villages and the town of Ystad.
For beginners to long-time practitioner in both yoga and art – everyone is welcome.

What to expect
We will be a small group of 8-10 people. The retreat caters to all levels of experience in art or yoga. You will stay in my summer cottage or in small cottages nearby in Beddingestrand (100m from the beach!) and work in my light-filled studio. We will enjoy lovely vegetarian meals (and local fish). Occasionally we’ll eat in small restaurants in the area and enjoy picnics too.
You’ll be given a creative diary upon arrival. This will be your unique, personal memory of visual notes, and may also be a source of inspiration at home later in the year.
We have several bikes that you can borrow to explore the village and surrounding areas.
Price and what’s included
The cost of the Creativity Retreat 2024 is €1175. Airfares and airport transfer are not included.
This includes…
Accommodation in single rooms with shared bathrooms in local summer houses.
Meals include a daily healthy breakfast, three lunches and four dinners.
Daily creative workshop, daily morning yoga classes and transport to nearby places of interest such as museums and visits to local studios/galleries.
Please note that any meals at restaurants which we will visit are not included, nor are entrance fees to museums. (Plan for €100 – €150 in total for this).
Travel
We recommend you fly to Copenhagen by booking with Ryanair, SAS or Norwegian Airlines.
From Copenhagen Airport it is easy to make your way by rail to the first station on the Swedish side, where you will be collected by mini-bus to reach Beddingestrand.
The train takes 15 min, and the transfer from the train station to Beddinge is about 50 min.
Accommodation
The price is based on single occupancy with a shared bathroom. You will stay in either my summerhouse or in charming local summerhouses all 5 min walk from my home and studio where our daily activities will take place. It is not luxury accommodation, but it is delightful, comfortable, simple Scandinavian design and only 200m from the beach!
